FLEX

The Texas State Galleries’ FLEX space invites Texas State Art and Design students, faculty, staff, or alumni to envision and assemble well-considered, visually engaging, and conceptually stimulating exhibitions and events. Selected proposals represent the unique creative vision of the Texas State Art and Design community and its relevance within the larger art world. 

The call for Fall 2025 programming is now CLOSED. The next call for submissions will be October 2025.


juried exhibitioN

This annual juried competition celebrates the distinguished work of students enrolled in the School of Art and Design at Texas State University.

The call for the 2025 Juried Student Exhibition is now CLOSED. The next call for submissions will be January 2026.


The Beth Damphousse Art & Design Award

The Beth Damphousse Art & Design Award celebrates the achievement of a current Art & Design student at Texas State University. Established in 2022, this award celebrates 1–2 students with a $250 scholarship and the display of the students’ artwork at the President’s residence, where it will be enjoyed by hundreds of distinguished guests throughout the academic year.

Internship

The Texas State Galleries are one of many organizations that students may consider for the Art History Internship Course (ARTH 4325) at Texas State University.
