Coinciding with their FL3X exhibition, After the Bonfire, Brittany Ham and Justin Korver will hold an artist talk about their co-working practice and collaboration—an opportunity for art students to engage with the creative potential found in collaborative art practice and the importance of building bonds within their local art community.
From the Artists
We have been co-creating artwork since 2018. Our joint practice is based in an intersectional interest in pictorial space and the materiality of European hunting tapestries, and we were drawn to the medium because of its engagement with landscape, gender, and the discourse of power. Our practice co-opts the stylization and narrative structures of these tapestries while reformulating their power dynamics to align with more balanced and ethical relationships in the human and more-than-human world.
