The Beth Damphousse Art & Design Award

The Beth Damphousse Art & Design Award celebrates the achievement of a current Art & Design student at Texas State University. Established in 2022, this award celebrates 1–2 students with a $250 scholarship and the display of the students’ artwork at the President’s residence, where it will be enjoyed by hundreds of distinguished guests throughout the 2025–26 academic year. A reception in the student’s honor is hosted by the University President and First Lady.

 Eligibility

• Only majors in the School of Art & Design enrolled for the 2025–2026 academic school year are eligible to apply.

• Students are invited to submit up to 2 artworks for consideration.

• The works must be 2D and may not exceed 34 x 38 inches.

Submission INSTRUCTIONS

• Entries should be submitted as jpegs (1024 max px @ 72 ppi is ideal); no image files larger than 2MB.

• Label files as follows: YourLastName_FirstInitial_TitleOfWork. 

• Include a checklist with your submission containing the following information for each artwork: 

  • Name

  • Artwork title

  • Artwork year

  • Artwork medium

  • Artwork dimensions in inches (h x w x d)

• Submit entries via email to s.kleinman@txstate.edu. Send images and checklist in a SINGLE email. DO NOT send these items separately.
